Privacy Policy

In short: Fox Player keeps your data on your own device. We do not run servers that receive your information, we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking, and we never sell or share your data. The app connects only to the TV service you sign in to and to the few services listed below.
1. Scope
This policy applies to Fox IPTV Player ("Fox Player", "the app", "we") on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV, Android phones, tablets and Android TV, Amazon Fire TV (Vega OS), Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) TVs, and the desktop app for Windows and macOS. Fox Player is a media player: it does not provide any channels, movies or series. The service you connect to has its own privacy policy, which we do not control.
2. Information stored on your device
- Sign-in details for your service: server address, username and password. Passwords are protected with the platform's secure storage — the Keychain on Apple devices, encrypted storage (AES-256, Android Keystore) on Android, and the operating system's credential encryption on desktop. On Samsung, LG and Fire TV they are kept in the app's private storage on the TV.
- Preferences: language, playback and subtitle settings, parental control PIN (stored as a hash), hidden or reordered categories and channels, update intervals.
- Watch progress, favorites and continue-watching items within your own service.
- Cached catalog and programme guide (EPG) data downloaded from your service, kept to make the app faster.
- Free trial start date and subscription status, so the app knows whether Premium is active. On Apple devices the trial start date is also saved in your Keychain and your iCloud Key-Value Storage so that reinstalling the app does not restart the trial.
We have no copy of any of this information.
3. Network connections the app makes

The demo account (server code 6565) works entirely offline with content built into the app.
4. Optional features
Cross-device sync
If you turn sync on, your favorites, watch progress, hidden items and some settings are copied between your own devices:
- Apple devices: through your iCloud account (iCloud Key-Value Storage). Passwords are not synced by the app.
- Android: through your Google account, in the hidden app-data folder of your Google Drive (
drive.appdatapermission). The app cannot see your other Drive files, and nobody else — including us — can see this folder. Watch progress entries may include the stream address provided by your service, which for some services contains your username and password.
You can turn sync off at any time, and remove the synced copy by signing out of sync or from your iCloud / Google account settings.
Chromecast
On iPhone, iPad and Android phones, the Google Cast SDK looks for Cast devices on your local network when you use the Cast button, and sends the stream you choose to that device.
Notifications and home screen
Programme reminders you set are scheduled as local notifications on your device. On Android TV, titles you are watching may appear in the system's "Watch Next" row on the home screen; this stays on the TV.
5. Payments
We never see or store your payment details. Purchases are processed by:
- Apple App Store on iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and the Mac App Store version;
- Google Play Billing on Android and Android TV;
- Amazon Appstore In-App Purchasing on Fire TV;
- Samsung Checkout on Samsung TVs;
- Paymentwall on LG TVs. The app gives Paymentwall a random identifier created on the TV so your purchase can be recognised; the payment details you enter go to Paymentwall under its own privacy policy.
Where in-app purchase is not available (for example desktop versions distributed outside the Mac App Store), no payment information is processed by the app.
6. What we do not do
- No analytics, advertising, attribution or tracking SDKs.
- No accounts on our side and no servers that receive your credentials, viewing history or device information.
- No selling, renting or sharing of personal information.
If you have allowed it in your device settings, Apple or Google may share anonymous crash and performance reports with us through their developer tools. These do not identify you.
7. Children
Fox Player is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect information from them. Because content comes from the service you connect, parental discretion is advised; the app offers a PIN lock and adult-category filtering.
8. Keeping and deleting your data
Your data stays on your device until you remove it. Signing out of an account or deleting a saved account clears its cached content; deleting the app removes everything it stored. Synced copies are removed as described in section 4. Because we do not hold your data, requests to access or erase it under laws such as the GDPR or KVKK are fulfilled by these steps; we are happy to help by email.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date will change when we do, and important changes will be reflected here before they take effect in the app.
